CONFIRMATION

Confirmation is a profession of faith.  Since the Lutheran Church baptizes infants (who cannot make such a confession of faith) - we have a program that teaches and encourages youth to explore their faith and when they are ready to make a public profession of their faith before the church.

Our Savior ties confirmation with first communion.  We confirm 7th and 8th graders who have successfully completed all the requirements and are ready to take their confirmation vows.

Confirmation Class is held on the fourth Thursday of each month from 6-7:30pm.  The rest of the month there are podcasts, reading assignments, videos and a few quizzes.  Fifth through eighth graders are encouraged to attend the class (fifth graders don't have any homework!)

On the first and third Thursdays we offer O.A.S.I.S. - a junior high youth event for fifth through eighth graders.  You do not have to be a member of Our Savior or a student at the school to attend.  The evenings are filled with games, snacks and a little bit of learning about God's wonderful plans for us.
